Stuart Fleetwood
Farsley Celtic 0-2 Forest Green
Farsley Celtic's hopes of surviving relegation took a massive blow on Saturday afternoon when Forest Green Rovers ran out 2-0 victors.
The visitors were in control of the match from the start and thoroughly deserved to take the lead in the 23rd minute.
Mark Preece was the man who scored that goal when he latched on to a Alex Lawless pass to find the back of the net.
The home side, seemingly boosted by going a goal down, tried in vein to grab an equaliser before the break, but nothing came of their efforts.
The home side's profligacy was made to pay in the 70th minute when Rovers doubled their lead.
Paul Stonehouse stole in behind the home defence to prod home a Stuart Fleetwood cross from the right side of the penalty area.
The second goal killed off the match as a contest as the home supporters started to leave the stadium in a very disappointed mood.
