Shots begin Football League preparations
Blue Square Premier champions Aldershot Town have secured the futures of two key players while three players are not being offered new contracts.
Defender Anthony Charles and midfielder Ben Harding have penned new deals as manager Gary Waddock starts his preparations for life in the Football League.
23-year-old Harding has played all forty-six games in this season's campaign while centre-back Charles recently made his 100th appearance for Aldershot.
However, players who will not be retained for next season are midfielder Ryan Scott and defenders Dean Smith and Rob Gier.
"I wish all of the players every success in the future and thank them for the service they gave Aldershot Town Football club which was first class," Waddock told the club's official website.
"They have all been excellent servants of the club."
Meanwhile, veteran Ryan Williams has agreed to the termination of his contract to go in search of first-team football elsewhere.
Williams missed much of the season with an injury suffered in pre-season and has just recently returned to first-team action.
