Scott Davies
Droylsden 2-2 Aldershot
Struggling Droylsden threw away a two-goal lead against runaway Blue Square Premier league leaders Aldershot at the Butchers Arms.
The home side were the better team in the first-half and went ahead through Terry Fearns in the 17th minute - a lead which the Bloods enjoyed going into half-time.
Junior Mendes managed to cancel out the strike for the Shots on 57 minutes, but four minutes later Fearns struck again to put the hosts ahead.
In a heated encounter, Scott Davies was handed a straight red card on the 68-minute mark after a professional foul on on Jamie McGuire.
Steve Daly followed him off the pitch after receiving his second yellow for a foul on Lewis Chalmers.
But the tragedy of the clash occurred on 81 minutes when Lee Roche deflected a Anthony Charles throw-in into his own net, undoing the Bloods gutsy effort for the three points.
