Lee McEvilly
Aldershot 0-0 Cambridge Utd
Aldershot stumbled against hoodoo side Cambridge United, but remain well clear at the top of the Blue Square Premier standings.
The Shots lost Anthony Charles 10 minutes before the final whistle after a second bookable offence, but managed to hold on for a point.
Joel Grant had the best chances for the hosts, but visiting keeper Danny Potter did well to thwart him.
As expected, Lee McEvilly fired up the U's attack. The striker had a golden opportunity to open the scoring in the 22nd minute, but the ball fell painfully wide.
He was later booked for dissent joining team-mates Mark Peters and Daniel Gleeson who were also cautioned.
The traveling outfit offered little but Scott Rendell nearly stole it late on for the hosts - bar a superb save from Nikki Bull.
Aldershot bookings:
Charles (81) sent off.
Cambridge Utd Bookings:
Gleeson, McEvilly, Peters.
Attendance: 3,259
