Moss Lane: Altrincham dominant at home
Altrincham 5-0 Salisbury
Altrincham showed their intent for a play-off place with a dominant home display as they hit five past Salisbury City without reply.
The Whites had collected three clean sheets in January and were yet to concede a goal this year before their trip to Moss Lane.
Despite enjoying a fair share of possession, Salisbury's clean run came to a rather unpleasant end with Altrincham putting five past the visitors.
Altrincham went ahead in the 16th minute as Nicky Clee delivered a corner for Greg Young to head home. Clee came on early in the game to replace the injured Matt Doughty and made a telling impact. The substitute scored the second goal in the 38th minute with a great lobbed finish from wide on the left.
It was 2-0 at the break and despite being down Salisbury continued to enjoy a lot of the ball. The home side's keeper, Stuart Coburn, was also made to make a couple of impressive saves during the game.
However, it was game over for the Whites after 61 minutes as Shaun Densmore scored Alty's third. His shot came from 25 yards and found its way into the net via Salisbury keeper Bittner and the underside of the crossbar.
The final ten minutes saw Chris Senior pile on the misery for Salisbury as he completed a well taken brace. The first came from 25 yards out and the second was slotted low into the far corner from a Densmore cross.
