Chris Giles
Crawley release Giles
Chris Giles has left Blue Square Premier side Crawley by mutual consent.
The 27-year-old defender was restricted to just nine appearances this season as injuries wrecked his chances at the club.
Giles began his career with Yeovil Town before joining Aldershot. After two years he made the switch to Crawley Town in 2006 with a move to Forest Green following that. A return to Crawley occurred in 2008 but has struggled for consistency, leaving him well down the pecking order at the club.
Manager Steve Evans told the club's official site: "Chris has been very unfortunate with injuries since he joined us back in 2008.
"I can assure everyone that he was as frustrated as us but he now gets the chance to move on and undertake a fresh challenge. The lad is almost fit now and of course we all wish him good luck."
