Shaw: Bagged a brace
Crawley Town 0-4 Halifax
Halifax Town hauled themselves out of the dreaded drop zone with a morale-boosting win against 10-man Crawley Town on Tuesday evening.
The Shaymen claimed the lead in the 21st minute when Lewis Killeen met a Simon Heslop cross in the box and sent his close-range effort into the bottom-left corner.
The visitors doubled their tally just before the half-time break thanks to Jon Shaw's well placed header at the left-hand side of the six-yard box.
Crawley's night went from bad to worse in the 65th minute when James Krause received his marching orders for a foul on Danny Forrest.
Chris Wilder's men pushed their numerical advantage and went further ahead thanks to Jon Shaw's second of the evening.
The Red Devils were seemingly unable to cope with Halifax's attacking play and pressure told as Crawley's Kieran Murphy put the ball in his own net in injury time.
