Danny Kedwell
Grays Athletic 1-1 Salisbury City
Mid-table duo Grays Athletic and Salisbury City played out an entertaining 1-1 draw at the New Recreation Ground on Tuesday night.
The home side got off to a storming start when they took the lead in the fourth minute.
Danny Kedwell was the man who grabbed the goal after being set up by a pinpoint cross from Jeff Goulding.
The visitors, seemingly calm after conceding so early, nearly hit back straight away, but the home defence was as resolute as ever.
They did, however, manage to find the back of the net on 26 minutes.
Timothy Bond picked up a Liam Feeney cross to smash home from 12 yards out.
With nothing left to play for in terms of league position, the two sides seemed happy to play the ball around the park in 'practice match' fashion, with little end product on display.
The result leaves the two sides firmly rooted in mid-table, with their thoughts now turning to next season.
