Exeter 1-0 Halifax
Richard Logan's second-half strike pushed Exeter to within two points of the play-off places after they defeated Halifax at St James' Park on Saturday.
It was a tight affair with chances for both sides early on and Exeter's Adam Stansfield came close with a fine header that narrowly missed its intended target while Halifax's Simon Heslop made Andy Marriott work to keep his goal intact.
Chances were few and far between in the second period and it always looked like one goal would settle this tie.
Logan looked as lively as anyone and when Matthew Taylor fed the striker through on the hour mark, he made no mistake as he slotted home from six yards with a neat drive into the bottom corner.
