Holroyd joins Seagulls

Chris Holroyd has finally completed his much protracted move to Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Cambridge United top scorer agreed personal terms after passing a medical and signed on loan terms in order to be able to play against Millwall on Saturday.

However, the highly-rated England C international will sign an 18-month deal on Monday for around £60,000.

Albion boss Gus Poyet told the club's official website: "I am delighted to have completed the deal. Chris is an exciting young prospect and he is one for the future.

"He has an excellent goalscoring record this season and has tremendous potential, and he will give us another striking option alongside our current forwards."
