York and U's in loan swapYork City Manager Martin Foyle has added Cambridge United midfielder Courtney Pitt to his squad.
The 29 year old has joined The Minstermen on loan until the end of the season.
He began his career at Chelsea alongside City midfielder and friend Neil Barrett and also followed Barrett to Portsmouth before going on to play for Luton, Coventry, Oxford and Boston United.
He has made over 100 appearances for Cambridge since joining them in 2005.
As part of the deal, Simon Russell has joined Cambridge United on loan until the end of the season.
Neither player can appear against the other club in any competition and therefore will not feature in tomorrow's Blue Square Premier fixture at the R Costings Abbey Stadium.
In addition, loanee Kevin Gall has signed a permanent contract with the club until the end of the season following his loan spell from Coca Cola League Two strugglers Darlington.
Gall netted his first goal for the club last weekend in the 4-1 defeat of Hayes and Yeading Utd and has made seven appearances for the club so far, mostly featuring as a substitute.
