Owen seals Bluebirds move

Blue Square Premier club Barrow have completed the signing of James Owen until the end of the current campaign.

The midfielder joined on a free transfer following his departure from struggling Chester and jumped at the chance to ink a deal with the Bluebirds, with boss Dave Bayliss left delighted.

Bayliss told BBC Radio Cumbria: "He's been training with us for two weeks now and has done really well.

"It might be a little too soon to throw him straight in but he is definitely one for the future."
