Daish hails Ebbsfleet spirit
Ebbsfleet United boss Liam Daish has admitted his relief after seeing his side come out on top against Forest Green Rovers in a seven-goal thriller on Saturday.
Daish's side thrice rallied from behind before Leon Crooks headed home Scott Ginty's cross in injury time to clinch a vital three points.
The Fleet boss told News Shopper: "It has been a tough week. It was a tough game today and a tough way to win it.
"All credit to the players because to go behind three times, to come back and then go on to win the game shows there is a bit of spirit there and a real willingness and desire to fight for the cause of staying in this league.
"When it was 3-2, you do think what do you have to do to win a game? It is just mad, football.
"There have got to be better ways of earning a living than as a manager because I don't want to be involved in too many games like that. It was torture.
"It was great for the neutral but a nightmare as a manager."
Ebbsfleet will take on play-off chasing Luton Town in the next Blue Square Premier fixture and Daish hopes that the win over Forest Green Rovers will give his players a confidence boost.
He added: "This will hopefully be a big shot in the arm confidence wise.
"When you get a win, it changes everything.
"It will change the lads' thoughts coming into training and it is amazing what a win can do for everyone."
