Torquay 4-0 SalisburyTorquay maintained top spot in the Blue Square Premier League with a resounding win over Salisbury City on Tuesday.
The gulf in class was apparent on a quarter of an hour when Chris Todd's close range shot breached the Citadel's defence.
Chris Zebroski then won a penalty for United and Lee Phillips calmly doubled Plainmoor club's lead from the spot.
Phillips then turned provider in the second half for Tim Sills who scored the Gulls' third. The striker completed his brace on full time to condemn Nick Holmes' side to their heaviest defeat of the season.
Despite the loss the Blue Square newcomers occupy a comfortable midtable position.
