Crawley 1-1 Weymouth

Weymouth could not move closer to Blue Square Premier safety due to a 1-1 draw with Crawley Town at Broadfield Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Red Devils started the brighter of the two sides, but went a goal down against the run of play when Simon Weatherstone hit a superb long-range effort into the back of the net.

But the home side hit back shortly before half-time.

Kieran Murphy was the man credited with the goal when he found the back of the net from just inside the penalty area.

The second half was a period of missed opportunities for both sides as the two teams played out a draw.
