Histon 1-0 Oxford

Former top-flight club Oxford United were narrowly defeated by Blue Square Premier part-timers Histon on Thursday evening.

The visitors went close in the second minute when striker Paul Shaw forced keeper Danny Naisbitt into action.

Oxford striker Marvin Robinson also hit an upright before the hosts took the lead in the 28th minute when Antonio Murray's deflected effort looped over keeper Billy Turley.

The U's continued to have much of the play but were unable to force an equaliser.
