Aldershot 2-0 Ebbsfleet

Aldershot moved to the top of the Blue Square Premier table with a 2-0 victory over Ebbsfleet United at the Recreation Ground on Tuesday night.

The home side bossed the match and enjoyed nearly two-thirds of the possession but had to wait until late in the game for their breakthrough.

Rob Elvins was fouled by Mark Ricketts in the penalty area and Rhys Day sent his penalty kick into the top-right corner from the spot on 71 minutes.

The win was secured four minutes from time when Louis Soares steered his left-footed shot into the bottom-right corner from 12 yards after Daniel Hylton played him in from the right channel.
