Grant: Bagged a brace Forest Green 2-3 AldershotAldershot Town claimed all three points against Forest Green Rovers at the New Lawn on Tuesday evening despite being reduced to 10 men before the break.
The hosts broke the deadlock after just two minutes as Stuart Fleetwood drilled a right-footed effort into the back of the net.
Aldershot drew level after 11 minutes through John Grant and Jonny Dixon doubled their tally in the 27th minute with a well-placed header at the centre of the penalty area.
However, Aldershot found themselves minus a man just before half-time as Anthony Straker received his marching orders for a professional foul on Leslie Afful.
It didn't stop the visitors though, as they doubled their lead in the 55th minute when Grant bagged his second at the left-hand side of the six-yard box.
The Rovers managed to pull one back in the 81st minute thanks to Darren Jones but it was not enough as Gary Waddock's men collected all three points.
