Histon 1-2 Aldershot

Gary Waddock's Aldershot picked up all three points at The Glassworld Stadium on Friday evening thanks to a first-half brace by Scott Davies.

The visitors drew first blood in the 30th minute with an amazing strike from Davies as he drilled a 35-yard freekick into the top-left corner.

Davies found the back of the net just eight minutes later with a powerful left-footed shot from the left-hand side of the penalty area.

The home side rallied in the second half and pulled one back when Aldershot goalkeeper Nikki Bull fumbled a corner kick and Cliff Akurang pounced on the loose ball.

Aldershot managed to hold onto their lead as Histon rarely threatened towards the end of the second half.
