Altrincham 1-5 Stevenage

Stevenage Borough further enhanced their promotion credentials by thrashing Altrincham 5-1 on Saturday afternoon.

Steve Morison sent the visitors on their way when he slotted home a Tyrone Berry pass in the 9th minute.

The Robins got themselves back into the game in rather lucky fashion when John White headed the ball into his own net.

Boro reclaimed the lead on the stroke of half-time when Berry capitilised on some poor defending to tap home from close range.

The second-half picked up where it left off before the break with Stevenage dominating.

The visitors grabbed their third goal of the game in the 67th minute when Stuart Lewis finished with aplomb.

Daryl McMahon scored a fantastic free-kick in the 85th minute to rub further salt into the host's wounds, and Morison capped off a wonderful afternoon's work with his second and Boro's fifth in the final minute.
