Wayne Carlisle Forest Green 1-1 ExeterExeter City could not hold onto their early lead as Forest Green Rovers came from behind to claim a point at the Lawn on Saturday afternoon.
Wayne Carlisle handed the visiting side a 15th minute lead when he rose highest to meet an Adam Stansfield cross to powerfully head the ball into the back of the net.
The early goal kicked the home side into life, but the home supporters had to wait until the last minute of the first-half to see their heroes make their domination count.
Darren Jones was the man who sent the supporters into raptures when he headed a pin-point Anthony Tonkin cross into the net from close range.
The second-half provided the fans with loads of entertainment, but neither side could match the end-to-end football with a finish worthy of winning the game.
