Burton Albion 4-4 Exeter

Burton Albion handed their fans an exciting end of season clash when they drew 4-4 with Exeter City on Saturday afternoon.

The visitors got the ball rolling in what was an eventful afternoon when Dean Moxey found the back of the net in the third minute.

The Grecians' lead did not last for very long as the home side hit back in the seventh minute through Daryl Clare.

The match lost its early tempo as the first half progressed, with snapshots and impressive defending the order of the day.

The second half started in a similar vein to that of the first as the visitors grabbed the lead for the second time just two minutes after the break.

Adam Stansfield was the man who found the back of the net when he drove home a Lee Elam pass.

The home side equalised on 70 minutes when Matthew Williams tucked home a Shaun Harrad pass from close range.

Harrad turned from provider to goalscorer ten minutes later when he hit the net with a fierce drive from the edge of the penalty area. That goal put the home side into the lead for the first time in the match.

Their advantage was increased on 83 minutes when Harrad grabbed his second of the game after some impressive wing play from Jake Edwards.

Despite Burton holding a two-goal advantage, Exeter rallied and managed to hit back in superb style.

First George Friend made it 4-3 with a fine strike from the edge of the penalty area, before Richard Logan earned a share of the spoils for the visitors when he found the net from 12 yards out.
