Harriers We should have won - YatesKidderminster manager Mark Yates criticised the manner of his sides' capitulation at the hands of Weymouth in the Blue Square Premier on Saturday.
Simon Russell put The Harriers in the lead on the hour mark with the well-taken strike only for the home team to equalise minutes later after some questionable defending. And with no further goals forthcoming they finally surrendered all three points in the dying minutes of the match.
A level of complacency is to be expected after a long, hard campaign with the season winding down and Kidderminster set for a mid-table finish, but Yates admitted it was the way in which they conceded the goals that was 'hard to take'.
Yates told the club's official site: "It was a game we controlled and should have won, but we just got a little bit complacent.
"It doesn't get much better than being 1-0 up away from home and creating chances - we were so on top for ten minutes after we scored.
"But the marking from the corner was just non-existent and that's hard to take.
"We brought down a really strong support today and it was a game we should have won." Posted: Sunday , April 20, 2008 more Kidderminster Harriers
