Halifax Town 1-0 Woking

Halifax Town solidified their midtable standing in the Blue Square Premier League by defeating Woking in a drab affair at The Shay on Tuesday.

The first half ended goalless, but midfielder Anthony Griffith broke the deadlock on the hour mark.

His superb right-footed shot from 25 yards found the back of the net after the Cardinals' Paul Lorraine failed to clear a Tom Kearney freekick.

The visitors were never really in the game as Chris Wilder's men dominated 60% of the possession.

The loss leaves Woking just clear of the relegation zone.
