Salisbury 2-1 Woking

Nick Holmes' Salisbury maintained their unbeaten start to the season after recording a hard-fought win over Woking at Raymond McEnhill Stadium on Monday afternoon.

The home side opened after 13 minutes when Matt Tubbs latched onto a Jonathan Bass cross and drilled a right-footed shot past the goalkeeper.

Salisbury continued to press their home advantage and doubled their tally in the 33rd minutes thanks to Darrell Clarke.

Woking boss Glenn Cockerill must have had some harsh words for his side at half-time, because they came out fired up after the break.

They battled for the entire half and finally pulled one back in the 83rd minute when Guiseppe Sole banged in a right-footed effort from 18 yards.
