Lewis Killeen Crawley clinch Killeen servicesCrawley Town boss Steve Evans has raided crisis-hit Halifax Town for a second time to clinch the signature of winger Lewis Killeen.
Evans' assistant, Paul Raynor, is familiar with Killeen's style of play from their time together at Sheffield United, where the midfielder started his career.
The Shaymen are on the verge of a double demotion to the Unibond league and Killeen has followed in the footsteps of former teammate Danny Forrest in making the switch to Crawley.
"We are delighted Lewis has joined us," Evans told the club's official website.
"He has great quality on the ball and his delivery from wide areas and set plays is exceptional for this level.
"We have also seen him play as a striker and he looked the part so you can say we have signed another player who can be versatile. In all fairness we see him operating in a wide role here."
"He is a player who will help us open the door in those big matches and he represents just another part of the jigsaw.
"It has been hard to get players, no I will rephrase that, it has been hard to get good players given we cannot compete financially with the big clubs in this league."
