Steve Bull Cambridge Utd 1-2 StaffordSteve Bull claimed his first victory as Stafford Rangers boss after his side dented Cambridge United's play-off hopes with a 2-1 win at Abbey Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
In a frantic opening 10 minutes, the home side took the lead through Ben Farrell.
Farrell hit a wonderful strike from 30 yards out which was too good for Alcock to stop in the Rangers goal.
But the home side's lead did not last for very long as the visitors hit back three minutes later.
Neil Grayson was the man who equalised for Rangers when he found the net from a Ross Draper pass.
Both sides continued to probe for the next goal, but it wasn't to be as the half-time whistle blew.
It was the visitors who came out in the second period the more dangerous side and they thoroughly deserved to take the lead on 64 minutes.
Nathan Smith was the man credited with the goal when he slotted home from 12 yards out.
The goal seemed to wake the home side up as they tried to grab an equaliser. But it wasn't to be as Rangers ran out deserved victors.
