Nicky Wroe York City 2-0 Grays AthleticYork City had to wait until the second-half to make their dominance count but still ran out 2-0 winners against Grays Athletic on Saturday afternoon.
The first-half was a rather drab affair with the home side taking control towards the break, but they could make their dominance count before the half-time whistle blew.
Nicky Wroe finally opened the scoring for the home side on 52 minutes when he scored from the penalty spot after Emmanuel Panther had been fouled in the penalty area.
It was 2-0 on 72 minutes when Leo Fortune-West latched onto a Wroe pass to find the back of the net.
Karl Murray nearly pulled one back for the visiting side on 88 minutes, but David McGurk matched his shot with a well-timed block to keep the home side's cleansheet intact.
