David McGurk York City 2-0 WeymouthTwo second-half goals secured York City a valuable home victory against a dogged Weymouth side on Saturday afternoon.
The first-half was an even affair with both side's looking to gain the upper hand.
Neither side could break down the oppositions disciplined defence, and as a result the score was goalless at the break.
However, the second-half was a different story altogether.
Martyn Woolford finally opened the scoring for the home side in the 50th minute when he volleyed a Craig Farrell cross into the back of the net.
David McGurk sealed the points for the Minstermen in the 73rd minute when he found the back of the net from yet another pin-point Farrell cross, and from there the home side cruised to victory.
