York City were unable to prevent Torquay Utd returning to the top of the table after Chris Todd headed the only goal of the contest in the live Setanta TV clash at KitKat Crescent.

The Minstermen suffered a sixth home defeat of the season as the visitors returned to the top of the table following a 1-0 victory at KitKat Crescent.

Torquay centre-back Chris Todd's 51st minute header from ex-Scarborough defender Kevin Nicholson's corner proved the only difference between the sides.

The Minstermen were unable to force an equaliser despite Onome Sodje and Paul Brayson both having opportunities.
