Aiden Palmer Palmer gets second chance with U'sCambridge United have offered Aiden Palmer a chance to resurrect his career at the club after being jailed for violent disorder.
The 23-year-old left-back signed for the U's from Blue Square South side Bishop's Stortford this week until the end of the season.
Boss Martin Ling managed the player while at Leyton Orient and is hoping he takes his second chance after being released by the League One side at the end of last season.
Palmer was jailed for seven months after being involved in a battle between rival gangs in London.
Ling told Cambridge News: "Everyone deserves a second chance and he has served his time for what he did.
"He has had his problems and we can't brush them under the carpet, but he'll now get a chance to show me if he's still the player I had at Orient." Posted: Wednesday, January 13, 2010 more Top Stories |
