Cambridge defeat Brewers in semi-finalCambridge United midfielder Rob Wolleaston scored twice in a 2-1 (AGG 4-3) victory against Burton Albion in their promotion play-off semi-final second-leg on Tuesday evening.
The hosts enjoyed the perfect start and took the lead inside the first minute. Lee McEvilly's shot was turned against the post by veteran keeper Kevin Poole and Wolleaston fired home the rebound.
The Brewers were back on level terms thirteen minutes later with ace marksman Daryl Clare heading past Danny Potter after Shaun Harrad had helped on John McGrath's corner at the near post.
But Cambridge secured their place in the final against Exeter City at Wembley Stadium on May 18th when Wolleaston's 62nd minute cross was misjudged by Poole and looped high into the far corner.
