New Crawley owners unknownThe sale of Blue Square Premier club Crawley Town has been completed, but the owners of the Broadfield Stadium outfit remain unknown.
Although the deal has been concluded, the finer details and formalities still need to be worked through and should be finalised by the end of the season.
Red Devils' chairman Vic Marley told BBC Southern Counties Radio: "The new owners want to make a big impact when its all sorted.
"We will concur with their wishes. You don't want any announcement that will give you bad luck."
The chairman did however confirm the Majeed family will depart the club after the takeover is completed and that the new consortium boasts a diverse group of individuals.
"Its a diverse group, a little bit of local and a little bit of not," he said.
"I welcome the opportunity to work with these people and take the club forward."
The chairman revealed there would be set targets for Crawley Town and warned investments would be made on a rare basis due to financial implications.
"The plan is to take us forward into the Football League.
"There will be some investment, yes. But only on a prudent basis.
"You only have to look around you and see the problems at Rotherham and Halifax.
"I'm aware fans have had enough of the financial instability. We are all looking forward to putting all those frustrations behind, and taking the club on." Posted: Wednesday, March 19, 2008 more Top Stories
