Steve Evans Evans awarded Crawley extensionSteve Evans has extended his tenure as Crawley Town manager and will remain with the Blue Square Premier side until July 2011.
The 49-year-old was thrust into the Red Devils' hot seat last summer, after the club had managed to avoid the dreaded drop-zone on the last day of the season.
But the former Boston boss has turned the Broadfield outfit into a mid-table success this term and has been awarded a contract extension.
He told BBC Southern Counties Radio: "It was always been a three-year plan and we've made a million strides but we've still got five million to go.
"The wage bill is down, and we've got more talent to challenge at the top".
"I've made mistakes in the past. I've moved on now, and to be fair to both me and Crawley, we all took a gamble when I joined and I think it's working so far." Posted: Wednesday, March 19, 2008 more Top Stories
