A Craig Dobson close-range effort on the half hour gave Stevenage Borough a 1-0 win at Ebbsfleet to move the up to second in the Blue Square Premier.

It could have easily been 2-0 for the away side but John Nutter missed his penalty in injury time, after Paul McCarthy was given his marching orders by referee Coote for deliberate handball.

Luke Moore had the best goal scoring opportunity for Ebbsfleet, but really should have done better with his effort.
