Ebbsfleet 1-0 Halifax

Liam Daish's Ebbsfleet continued their great start to the season with a narrow victory over Halifax Town at Stonebridge Road on Saturday afternoon.

The home side looked in control for much of the first half and came close in the eighth minute when Mark DeBolla's 30 yards effort was saved by Halifax keeper Craig Mawson.

Stacy Long scored the solitary goal of the game after 50 minutes when he volleyed in a Mark DeBolla cross at the left-hand side of the six-yard box.

This latest result sees Fleet move up to seventh place on the table with nine points while the Shaymen slip down to 19th place with just two points.
