The home side pulled a goal back in the 40th minute as Robbie Matthews got on the end of a Jonathan Bass cross and headed past United keeper Scott Tynan.
Salisbury took the lead five minutes into the second half when Matt Tubbs beat Tynan after pouncing on a loose ball just outside the penalty area, the goal proving enough to seal victory.
