Torquay 1-0 Northwich

Torquay United maintained their promotion push with a narrow win against Northwich Victoria on Tuesday evening.

The match was certainly not short on goalmouth action as both Scott Tynan and Simon Rayner were tested throughout.

However, the encounter only produced a solitary goal and it came in the 40th minute when Torquay's Chris Zebroski curled a 25-yard effort in the top-right corner.

The Gulls have made second place their own with this latest result and there is no doubt that they will be playing in the promotion play-offs next month.
